Paper 2: Area of Study 2 - Religion, Peace and Conflict (Paper code: 1RB0/2A – 2G)

Students must study all four content sections based upon a religion.

  • Beliefs
  • Crime and Punishment
  • Living the Religious Life – of the chosen religion
  • Peace and Conflict

What skills will students develop and demonstrate?

AO1 (50%) - Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of religion and belief, including:

Beliefs, practices and sources of authority, influence on individuals, communities and societies, similarities and differences within and/or between religions and beliefs.

AO2 (50%) - Analyse and evaluate aspects of religion and belief, including their significance and influence

How will students’ learning be assessed?

Paper 1: Area of Study 1 - Religion and Ethics (*Paper code: 1RB0/1A – 1G)
Written examination: 1 hour and 45 minutes 50% of the qualification (118 marks)

Paper 2: Area of Study 2 - Religion, Peace and Conflict (Paper code: 1RB0/2A – 2G)
Written examination: 1 hour and 45 minutes 50% of the qualification (118 marks)
